The Encore is
a subcompact crossover SUV, produced by General Motors. It was originally
launched in early 2013, as 2013 year model. It is closely related to the model
called Opel Mokka, so close that it could be considered as a re-badged version
of Opel’s entry-level crossover.
This model is basically a renamed version of Mokka, which is offered
on some specific markets like China or North America. According to the latest
reports, we will see some modifications soon. The 2017 Buick Encore will come
with so-called mid-cycle refresh. This refresh will include several changes,
both in visual and technical aspects.

Encore is expected to come refreshed. It will come with several changes and
improvements. However, base characteristics like platform etc. will remain the
same. As it usually goes with mid-cycle refresh, the most notable changes are
visual ones.
Just it is expected, main modifications will be made at the front
end. The front of the testing model is camouflaged so we can expect larger
changes. The 2017 Encore will pretty much for sure come with new grille, while
headlights will probably also feature some tweaks. Rest of the crossover is
expected to come without bigger modifications.

Current model is available with
only one engine. It is a 1.4 liter turbo petrol engine, which paired with
6-speed automatic delivers 138 horsepower. The 2017 Buick Encore is expected to
be offered with one more engine.
It will be a 1.0 liter three-cylinder petrol
engine, which has an output of 115 horsepower and 125 pound-feet of torque.
This engine will provide much better fuel economy – 25 mpg in city and 33 mpg
on a highway.

Encore release date, price and competition
The 2017 Buick
Encore is expected to come next year. Price will probably remain unchanged,
which means around 24.000 dollars for a base model. When it is about
competition, main rivals will be models like VW Tiguan and Mini Countryman.
