2017 Honda CR-V

The compact crossovers are probably the fastest-growing segment in car industry in last several years. Nowadays, almost every car maker has at least one model of this kind in its offer. When it is about Japanese manufacturer Honda, there is a well known and popular crossover caller CR-V. This model is present for almost twenty years.
It was originally released in 1995 and during this period, we saw four generations of it. Current model was launched in 2012 and it was refreshed last year. However, company already prepares new model, which is expected to come in about two years. The 2017 Honda CR-V will come with plenty of significant changes.
2017 Honda CR-V redesign
As we mentioned, 2017 Honda CR-V is expected to come completely redesigned. Since company recently introduced new HR-V model, we expect to see several crucial changes with this one. It is expected that redesigned model will go upmarket.

This basically means that 2017 CR-V will come larger. Beside growth in size, new model will include several other changes that will provide more premium feel. It is pretty much for sure that new model will feature three rows of seats. It will be able to accommodate seven passengers, and it will feature plenty of advanced technologies, never seen before from this manufacturer.

The 2017 Honda CR-V will ride on new platform. Many components in its body structure will be borrowed from new 2016 Honda Pilot. Basically, it means that it will feature much lighter body, which will ensure better performances. When it is about crossovers visual design, most of the things are still unknown. However, it is expected that 2017 Honda CR-V will follow company’s new design language, so expect similar visual appearance to other new crossovers of the company.

Those are 1.6 liter diesel engine with 118 hp and 1.5 liter petrol engine, which produces 128 horses. We also expect to see one additional, more powerful petrol variant in offer. The 2017 Honda CR-V will come with company’s new 9-speed automatic transmission.
