2017 Chevrolet Suburban

Full-size crossover segment will be refreshed from Chevy factories. Suburban is a model that grew a lot in last few years. It is because of quality and performance offered and new 2017 Chevrolet Suburban is about to offer more. 

Do not expect big changes, since model will be built on platform from 2014. Redesign is expected in couple of years, maybe in 2018, while surely by 2019. For then, ne concept is being prepared, with many changes, and for upcoming SUV, slight design modifications and fuel economy improvements will be enough.

2017 Chevrolet Suburban engine

Since there won’t be big changes to the full-size crossover, same engines range will be used for 2017 Chevrolet Suburban. For current SUV, there is a 5.8-l V8 drivetrain placed under its hood. Models with base engine can produce 355 hp. However, there is bigger powerplant installed for drivers who are looking for more power. Total 420 ponies are coming of 6.2-l V8 unit. 

Same engines are expected for 2017 Suburban, with slight improvement on fuel economy. Power will be distributed to wheels through 6-speed automatic gearbox, like at current models. There is no time for radical changes, so only slight improvements on mentioned options are possible.

2017 Chevrolet Suburban redesign

Fuel economy boost is primary development target for new SUV. Because of that, more lightweight materials are going to be used in building of 2017 Chevrolet Suburban, to reduce overall weight. However, crossover won’t suffer on its performance end. Other modifications are planned for front fascia. Daytime running LED lamps are prepared, while new Suburban will have many additional packages that can boost its visual appearance.

Inside the vehicle, we will meet MyLink system with many features. Touch-screen display, navigation and speak controls are just few of many functions possible with MyLink. Leather is dominating inside the cabin. Aluminum details are added to Suburban’s interior and new audio system boosts infotainment. For younger users, there is smart phone integration.

2017 Chevrolet Suburban release date and price

With a starting price of around $50,000, 2017 Chevrolet Suburban will be competitive in full-size SUV market. However, more options need more funds, so higher trims of crossover are more expensive, probably over $60,000. We won’t see new vehicle during next year since release is planned for first months of 2017.
