2017 Buick Enclave

The Enclave is a full-size luxury crossover produced by General Motors, under the Buick badge. This crossover is a flagship model of Buick. It was launched in 2007 as 2008 year model and it is still in its first generation. The only bigger modification was made for 2013 facelift. However, most of the characteristics remained the same. 

So, if we consider that this model is about eight years old, it is easy to conclude that it lacks in many aspects compared to competition, mostly in terms of visual appearance. The great news is that this crossover will be redesigned. According to the latest reports, new model is expected to come as 2017 Buick Enclave.

2017 Buick Enclave specs

As we already mentioned, 2017 Buick Enclave will come completely redesigned. It will come with plenty of significant changes. The most important one is definitely a new platform. GM works on new platform called E2XX, which will be used for many models of this corporation. 

Some of them are Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, Chevrolet Malibu and Impala, Buick LaCrosse etc. New platform will provide many improvements, especially in terms of body weight, fuel consumption and overall performances. 

When it is about visual appearance, we still don’t have complete picture of new model, but we expect to see a big step forward, compared to current model. The 2017 Buick Enclave will feature brand’s new design language, which will provide much aggressive stance and much more attractive appearance to potential customers.

2017 Buick Enclave engine

The 2017 Buick Enclave is expected to come with new engine. Current model is powered by 3.6 liter V6, which outputs 286 horsepower and 255 pound-feet of torque. Although it is expected that 2017 Enclave will get new, more efficient engine, destiny of this unit is still unknown. 

This engine will be most likely offered as an option in next-generation model. When it is about transmission, current model uses a 6-speed automatic, but we won’t be surprised if we see GM’s new 9-speed automatic installed on this model too.

2017 Buick Enclave release date and price

The next generation of this crossover will most likely come as 2017 Buick Enclave. New model is expected to come next year, most likely in the second half. Details about price are yet to be announced, but it is expected that new model will be available at around 40.000 dollars.
