For new challenges on the market Hyundai responds quickly. This is a mid-size crossover, which is made to take spot in Chinese market, rather than other parts of the world. However, Europe and UK could get their versions of 2017 Hyundai ix25. Five-seat layout and a lot of features are highlight of the cabin. More attractive exterior should lure younger population. All models made on Santa Fe platform have these characteristics. Ground clearance of 7 inches is enough for many terrains and off-road situations. Body gets new lines and 17-inch wheels add more aggressiveness to the 2017 ix25. Smaller sibling of ix35 gets bold front and sporty rear end. 2017 Hyundai ix25 engine

Under the hood of the 2017 Hyundai ix25 is 2.0-l gasoline unit. As we told earlier, this crossover will be made for Chinese market, while other parts of the world can get different model. Because of that, 1.4-l four-cylinder drivetrain is prepared. This unit will be able to develop 105 hp and 100 lb-ft of torque. Also 1.6-l CRDi powerplant is possible with same torque level, but 20 hp more.

There is no info about diesel units, but we expect them to be made for new ix25. Crossover is very economical, so don’t be surprised if that number goes over 30 mpg combined.

That is in par with its main competitors – Ford EcoSport and Nissan Terrano. New SUV should be available from about $20,000, but this price wasn’t confirmed yet.
