The Enclave is a full-size luxury crossover produced by General Motors, under the Buick badge. This crossover is a flagship model of Buick. It was launched in 2007 as 2008 year model and it is still in its first generation. The only bigger modification was made for 2013 facelift. However, most of the characteristics remained the same. 

So, if we consider that this model is about eight years old, it is easy to conclude that it lacks in many aspects compared to competition, mostly in terms of visual appearance. The great news is that this crossover will be redesigned. According to the latest reports, new model is expected to come as 2017 Buick Enclave.

As we already mentioned, 2017 Buick Enclave will come completely redesigned. It will come with plenty of significant changes. The most important one is definitely a new platform. GM works on new platform called E2XX, which will be used for many models of this corporation. 

Some of them are Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, Chevrolet Malibu and Impala, Buick LaCrosse etc. New platform will provide many improvements, especially in terms of body weight, fuel consumption and overall performances.

The Encore is a subcompact crossover SUV, produced by General Motors. It was originally launched in early 2013, as 2013 year model. It is closely related to the model called Opel Mokka, so close that it could be considered as a re-badged version of Opel’s entry-level crossover. 

This model is basically a renamed version of  Mokka, which is offered on some specific markets like China or North America. According to the latest reports, we will see some modifications soon. The 2017 Buick Encore will come with so-called mid-cycle refresh. This refresh will include several changes, both in visual and technical aspects.

As we already mentioned, 2017 Buick Encore is expected to come refreshed. It will come with several changes and improvements. However, base characteristics like platform etc. will remain the same. As it usually goes with mid-cycle refresh, the most notable changes are visual ones. 

Just it is expected, main modifications will be made at the front end. The front of the testing model is camouflaged so we can expect larger changes. The 2017 Encore will pretty much for sure come with new grille, while headlights will probably also feature some tweaks. Rest of the crossover is expected to come without bigger modifications.

Crossover was already powerful and stylish, but now it should be upgraded in 2017 Buick Anthem. Buyers will be surprised with new SUV, which includes two types of engines and many stylish tweaks. That will be shown in price, which is going to rise, but new Anthem will remain compatible with their main rivals.

2017 Buick Anthem powertrains

As we already mentioned, new 2017 Buick Anthem will get the power from two types of engines. Base unit is 2.5-l 4-cylinder unit with 16 valves, which is capable to deliver 200 hp and around 190 lb-ft of torque. Engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox with an option for manual shifting. 

Same transmission is installed with second option, and it is 2.0-l V6 drivetrain. More powerful unit can burst 300 horses and 250 pound-feet of torque. More power has its price and it is fuel consumption. Base models will be more economical than units with V6 drivetrain.
