2017 Opel Mokka

The 2017 Opel Mokka is taking place in the subcompact crossover range of vehicles. This model was launched for the first time in 2012, as 2013 year model, and after success, now it gets redesign. During next year, we will have more information about this SUV, since so far company just confirmed that they are working on it. It is somehow expected, since Mokka was the 4th subcompact SUV in Europe last year. Now, expect it better and prettier.

2017 Opel Mokka styling

Unique styling of the tiny SUV could be its main advantage over competition. Even small, it appears very big. Once you take control, you will see that handling and cornering are superb. Functionality and simplicity are what make this model special.
For 2017 Opel Mokka, if designers improve its appearance and comfort, crossover could be one of the best models in the market. Sporty exterior and elegant cabin will lure younger population. New Mokka uses a lot of lightweight materials, so overall weight is reduced. Also, car is now more aerodynamic, so expect better performance.

2017 Opel Mokka performance

Weight drop of the 2017 Opel Mokka won’t affect its performance. Handling should be better, and outputs won’t suffer. From 1.6-l VVT turbocharged engine, installed in the crossover, 115 horses are sent to transmission box and then to wheels. New SUV can get 1.7-l diesel variant with more power. This drivetrain produces 130 hp and around 180 lb-ft of torque. There are rumors about CDTI powertrains, but it is not likely to happen. German carmaker will turn their attention to emission reduction and other performance upgrades.

2017 Opel Mokka release date and price

With configuration ready to go to 60 mph in 10 seconds and top speed set at 120 mph, this subcompact crossover should be in par with its competitors. That means price could be similar, and it is around $25,000. Release is being planned for early months of 2017, but premiere could happen earlier. This is mainly RU-based vehicle and there is no information about availability in US and which variant it could be.
