2017 Scion xB

Although there were rumors about axing of Scion xB crossover, and replacing it with new model, this vehicle is coming again, with a new shot to meet demands from company. It will be released as 2017 Scion xB, and it takes place in compact SUV class, mostly in North American market. 2017 Scion xB redesign

To be competitive in crossover class, constant improvements and applied innovations must be done. Because of that, company decided to redesign their 2017 Scion xB, rather than to replace it. Both interior and exterior will be revisited. 

Cabin is now more elegant and chic. No information about features and other settings are available. But, exterior styling is modified. Bumper and LED lights are new, while new xB gets few new lines and curves. Also, new color schemes are to be introduced. Overall design is familiar, and 2017 xB comes in boxy styling.

2017 Scion xB drivetrain

Under the hood of the 2017 Scion xB will be revisited engine. One rumor say that drivetrain from last model will be carried over to new xB. However, engineers are preparing new option, with 2.4-l DOHC four-cylinder unit. This information is not confirmed yet, but rumors say this powerplant can deliver 160 horsepower and 150 lb-ft of torque. It is unknown what type of transmission this crossover is going to exploit, as well as all-wheel drive mode.

2017 Scion xB release date and price

One of the major car shown in 2016 will host a premiere of the 2017 Scion xB. This crossover gets many changes, so it could be priced more than $20,000 for current vehicle. Priority for Scion is to reach American buyers, so more options, packages and trim levels will be offered there, so that means wide gap between prices of higher and lower trims.
