2017 Skoda Snowman

 

Skoda is planning to launch few models of SUV segment for 2017. Among others, there is a Snowman crossover, which should fill compact class. It is important to say that Skoda Yeti was the first model that had huge success, and because of it, Czech carmaker decided to enlarge their offer. However, 2017 Skoda Snowman is based on its predecessor, but still has many unique details and features. Exterior, as well as interior, is new, and crossover should lure younger population with its aggressive appearance.

Skoda’s trademark –grille, will be headlight of frontal design. It is signature part, so its bold, muscular exterior will be interesting. Also, outside, roof is somehow lower than expected, while designer surprised us with modern wheel arches. Headlights have rectangular shape. Inside, there will be plenty of room for all passengers, and depending on trim level, 2017 Skoda Snowman will be able to take 5 or 7 passengers.

Two options of 2017 Skoda Snowman are being prepared. Difference is in interior layout, with this SUV availability as 5 or 7-seater. Both trims will get all-wheel drive and many common details. On hi-tech end, we get modern climate control, touch-screen display on control panel, parking sensors and rear cameras. 
Comfort is boosted with heated seats and infotainment with connectivity systems. Other safety features include 8 air bags, ABS and automatic braking system. LED lights inside the cabin are available for all trims, and navigation takes place in higher trim.

Engine options for 2017 Skoda Snowman are unknown yet. Company engineers are testing few options, of which 2.0l TSI is the most likely to take place under the hood. As other crossovers in the family, Snowman is also offered with petrol and diesel units. Base engine can deliver 180 hp, while 1.4-l TSI offers less output, 150 ponies. Diesel variant could top both petrol units, since 2.0-l displacement will be ready to deliver almost 200 hp. This SUV is made to take control of all kind of terrains, so AWD comes standard.

Value of the 2017 Skoda Snowman should be around $30,000 and its arrival is expected during 2016. When it gets into salons, battle with Hyundai Santa Fe and Kia Sorento will start for more buyers.
