The XC90 is a mid-size luxury crossover, produced by Swedish manufacturer Volvo. As you probably know, original model was one of the longest-produced models in modern car history. After 12-13 year, it is finally replaced. The second generation model is ready and it will come as 2016 year model. 

Although it is still early to speculate about second year of models productions, we have some information about it. According to the latest reports, 2017 Volvo XC90 will come with one big novelty. Although it will keep the basic characteristics unchanged, it will come with one more, tuning trim level called Polestar.

As you know, completely redesigned model came just recently and it feature astonishing look. The 2017 Volvo XC90 will keep the same appearance. However, new Polestar model will come with several unique details. This trim will be characterized by more aggressive appearance and it will feature things such as especially-designed wheels and iconic Rebel Blue paint. 

This model will also come with modified front end which will include new bumper with larger air openings and more aggressive overall look. Similar changes are expected at the rear end where we expect to see also modified bumper and also new exhaust tips and similar stuff.

As you probably know, this crossover came as a special variant of Volvo’s mid-size car called V70. This estate is present for almost 20 year, and so far we have seen three generations of it. The XC70 came as special variant, adapted to an off-road drive. 

Current model, which is in its third generation, came in 2007. It is already known that 2016 year model will come without changes, so it is highly expected that 2017 Volvo XC70 will come redesigned, after almost a decade of production. According to the latest reports, this model is expected to come completely redesigned.

The 2017 Volvo XC70 is expected to come completely redesigned, as fourth-generation model. New model will come with plenty of significant changes. We will see a plenty of new design solutions. It is expected that new crossover will borrow the platform from new XC90, called Volvo Scalable Product Architecture. 

When it is about basic characteristics of the car, we expect that 2017 XC70 will continue in the same way. It will feature a station wagon body style, adapted to an off-road drive. This basically means a much higher ground clearance, which will provide better overall performances. When it is about styling, 2017 Volvo XC70 will be completely adapted to the company’s new design language.

Swedish carmaker Volvo is well known for their luxury vehicles in all segments. Their cabins are comfortable, design is elegant and reliable engines are under the hood. Also, safety is at top level, which is recognized by buyers, and that is why company is very popular. Same characteristics are for all classes in which company has its vehicles, and so it is with new compact crossover. Built on the new platform, 2017 Volvo XC40 will be attractive and stylish. With it, company will complete their crossover class, adding this small SUV under bigger vehicles, XC60 and XC90.

Development of the 2017 Volvo XC40 is near the end. We can say this because vehicle has been spotted in the streets, and it seems like almost finished. Visually, it reminds on V40 vehicle from same manufacturer. 

That is most seeable on moldings, roof rails and side skirts. Radiator grille is standard feature of Volvo vehicles, and aggressiveness is boosted with xenon lamps and company’s engraved badge. Air intake is wide and fog lamps are placed on the bumper. Overall impression is improved with glossy roof made of aluminum and 17 or 18-inch alloy wheels.
