2017 Jeep Patriot

Chrysler prepares some big changes, when it is about vehicles under the Jeep badge. According to the new 5-year plan, we will see plenty of novelties. There will be several redesigns but also some all-new models. According to the plan, one of its models called Patriot will be replaced. This compact crossover was introduced in 2006 and it made through only one big update in 2011. It will be replaced soon. There were some predictions that its replacement will come already next year, but now it looks that 2017 Jeep Patriot will be produced too. If it comes, it will definitely be its last year of production.

2017 Jeep Patriot specs

This model came in 2006. With just one update, it is easy to conclude that it is pretty much outdated. Since it will be its last year of production, bigger changes for 2017 Patriot are not expected. It will come with the pretty much same characteristics as current model. It will ride on the same PM/MK platform featuring the same, recognizable design.
Visual appearance will come unchanged, just like it is case with interior design. Beside same styling, it will also be available in same trim levels. Those are – Sport, Latitude and Limited. Although trims will remain the same, we can expect some changes when it is about standard features for each trim. That will probably be the only possible novelty for the 2017 Jeep Patriot. Rest of the things is expected to remain unchaged.

2017 Jeep Patriot engines

Changes are also not expected when it is about engines. The 2017 Jeep Patriot will be powered with the same units as current model. Base engine will be a 2.0 liter I-4, with max output of 158 hp and 141 lb-ft of max torque. Optional unit is 2.4 liter, also inline-four unit, which is good enough for 172 horsepower and 165 pound-feet of torque. Both engines use 6-speed automatic transmission.

2017 Jeep Patriot replacement

The 2017 Jeep Patriot is expected to be the last one that will be produced. Company prepares an all-new model, which will come as a replacement for both Patriot and Compass models. Exact details about new model are still unknown. We know that it is in an advanced stage of development and that will stand between Renegade and Cherokee in company’s line up. It is expected to come somewhere in late 2017 or early 2018 year.
