2017 Land Rover LR4

The LR4, also known as Discovery for the markets outside North America, is a mid-size luxury crossover, produced by British manufacturer Land Rover. This model is considered as one of the best-known and most popular of this brand. The original model came in 1989. Although we saw four generations so far, even the latest model uses some design solutions from the original that came more than 25 years ago. This time, company prepares something completely new. The 2017 Land Rover LR4 will come as fifth-generation model, but this time it will be completely redesigned. It will come with all of new technical solutions, completely new look, interior etc.

It is now officially confirmed that 2017 Land Rover LR4 will come completely redesigned. It will come with plenty of significant changes and it will be a huge step forward, compared to current model, which is pretty much outdated. New model will finally replace the old body-on-frame platform with new unibody chassis. 

This will provide significant improvements, especially in terms of weight reduction. The 2017 LR4 will also come with significantly changed new look. We will see stylish, modern design, which will be adapted to the company’s new design language. 

New model will be hugely influenced by Discovery Vision Concept, but many solutions will be also borrower from models like Range Rover Sport and Evoque. Massive changes will be seen also inside the new Land Rover LR4. We will see a completely new cabin, with new styling and also plenty of the latest technology achievements.

2017 Land Rover LR4 engine

The 2017 Land Rover LR4 is expected to be offered at least in two variants. The base model will be probably powered by 3.0 liter V6 engine, which outputs 335 horsepower and 339 pound-feet of torque. Some turbo I-4 is also expected. It will probably be a 2.0 liter unit with 240 hp and 250 lb-ft of torque. New Land Rover LR4 will also feature new 9-speed automatic transmission.

2017 Land Rover LR4 release date and price

The 2017 Land Rover LR4 will come in 2016, but more precise date is still unknown. When it is about price, base mode shouldn’t cost more than 40.000 dollars.
