This mid-size luxury crossover originally came in 2012 as JX, but soon after that, it was renamed to QX60, in order to be adapted to company’s new naming policy. It is produced by Nissan’s luxury division Infiniti. During these several years of production, we saw many modifications that were coming a year by year. 

Company will continue with this trend, so some novelties are expected for 2017 Infiniti QX60 too. Exact changes are still unknown, but have no doubt that it will come with many interesting novelties.

This excellent crossover, which is characterized both by great look and excellent performances, was redesigned last year. The 2017 Ford Edge will come in third year of production, so bigger changes are not expected. The base characteristics, both in visual and mechanical aspect, will remain unchanged. However, it is rumored that hybrid version will come with 2017 Edge, but since there is more than a year until its release, it is still early to speculate.

It was refreshed in 2014 and, according to some predictions it should be redesigned in near future. According to the later reports from several sources on the internet, new model will come very soon. It will probably come late next year as 2017 Dodge Durango. For now, details about new model are unknown so we must rely mainly on rumors and speculations.

Do not expect big changes, since model will be built on platform from 2014. Redesign is expected in couple of years, maybe in 2018, while surely by 2019. For then, ne concept is being prepared, with many changes, and for upcoming SUV, slight design modifications and fuel economy improvements will be enough.

Since there won’t be big changes to the full-size crossover, same engines range will be used for 2017 Chevrolet Suburban. For current SUV, there is a 5.8-l V8 drivetrain placed under its hood. Models with base engine can produce 355 hp. However, there is bigger powerplant installed for drivers who are looking for more power. Total 420 ponies are coming of 6.2-l V8 unit. 

Same engines are expected for 2017 Suburban, with slight improvement on fuel economy. Power will be distributed to wheels through 6-speed automatic gearbox, like at current models. There is no time for radical changes, so only slight improvements on mentioned options are possible.

MDX model grew both in size and price, company left the space for the new entry-level model in its lineup. This place was taken by Acura’s new model called RDX. It is a compact luxury crossover, which originally came in 2006 and nowadays, this is an entry-level model of Honda’s luxury division. Current model is in its second generation, which came in 2013. 

Company recently announced that this crossover will be refreshed soon and, according to the latest reports, it will be for the 2016 year model. This basically means that 2017 Acura RDX will come only a year after mid-cycle refresh so, it probably won’t feature any bigger change.

The XC90 is a mid-size luxury crossover, produced by Swedish manufacturer Volvo. As you probably know, original model was one of the longest-produced models in modern car history. After 12-13 year, it is finally replaced. The second generation model is ready and it will come as 2016 year model. 

Although it is still early to speculate about second year of models productions, we have some information about it. According to the latest reports, 2017 Volvo XC90 will come with one big novelty. Although it will keep the basic characteristics unchanged, it will come with one more, tuning trim level called Polestar.

The GM’s luxury brand Cadillac is known for making great luxury cars. The Escalade is one of the brand’s best known models. It is a full-size luxury SUV, which is originally launched in 1999. It is considered as one of the leaders, when it is about this type of SUV’s. 

So far, we have seen four generations of it. Latest model came last year, as 2015 year model. It came with plenty of changes and improvements and it could be considered as a big step forward, compared to third-generation model. Although it is still a very fresh model, company already prepares some changes, so we will see a 2017 Cadillac Escalade with several novelties.

The X5 is definitely one of the best-known and most popular crossovers, when it is about luxury cars. It is a mid-size luxury crossover, which originally came in 1999. It was the company’s first crossover ever made. It is also important to mention that this model, alongside with Lexus RX300, was the first crossover that adopted new lightweight unibody platform, instead of conventional body-on-frame structure. 

Even nowadays this model is known for constant bringing of novelties. So far, we saw three generations of it. Current model was introduced in 2013, and next year it will be in its fourth year of production, so we should expect some important changes for 2017 BMW X5.

Czech carmaker is making their way into new dimension, and it is crossover range. Yes, it is true! Skoda vehicles are being tested, which can be confirmed with spy shots. But, what shall we expect? According to some rumors, it is 2017 Skoda Polar, but there are also other names in the mix. This vehicle could be Superb SUV, or Snowman, and even Montania. Well, we will need to wait for a while before we can see final decision about name, but we already found some information about design and engines.

Under heavy camouflage we couldn’t see everything, but some details were obvious. This concept is new, and its dimensions fit to a compact SUV class. There are some similarities with Fabia, which uses MQB platform, so it is possible that 2017 Polar is going to use some same elements.

There are some big news from this German manufacturer. According to the latest reports, Porsche’s popular SUV Cayenne is about to come completely redesigned. This mid-size luxury crossover originally came 2002 and it is currently in its second generation, which has been refreshed recently. According to rumors, new model is expected to come in 2017. It is still unknown in which part of year it will come, so it is hard to say will it be named as 2017 or 2018 year model. For now, we will call it 2017 Porsche Cayenne.

The 2017 Porsche Cayenne will come with plenty of changes in all aspects. As we already said, it will come as third-generation model, so we can expect it to feature all of the latest technologies that company achieved. One of the most important changes will be new platform. 

The 2017 Cayenne will ride on Volkswagen Group MLB platform. It is the same platform that is used for  new Q7, but it will probably be slightly shortened for this occasion. This platform will also underprin new Touareg. New model will be made of extra-light materials such as HSS (High Strength Steel) and carbon fiber. This will provide significant weight savings. Compared to current model, 2017 Porsche Cayenne will be for about 220 pounds lighter. 

When it is about exterior look, we will see completely new styling, adapted to the company’s new design language. Many of visual details will be borrowed from other models of company. For example, clamshell hood and wraparound tail-lights will be borrowed from new Macan, while C-shaped fender vent and front air intakes will be similar to those found on Panamera Sport Turismo concept. The cabin will be redesigned too and it will feature new styling, similar to company’s flagship supercar Porsche’s 918 Spyder.

The Enclave is a full-size luxury crossover produced by General Motors, under the Buick badge. This crossover is a flagship model of Buick. It was launched in 2007 as 2008 year model and it is still in its first generation. The only bigger modification was made for 2013 facelift. However, most of the characteristics remained the same. 

So, if we consider that this model is about eight years old, it is easy to conclude that it lacks in many aspects compared to competition, mostly in terms of visual appearance. The great news is that this crossover will be redesigned. According to the latest reports, new model is expected to come as 2017 Buick Enclave.

As we could notice on the streets, new vehicle is being tested, and leaked info said that is 2017 BMW X4 M40i. This is going to be performance boosted SUV, which could be released first in US. However, there are no confirmed information about this vehicle, but rumors are louder every day.

Visual appearance of the 2017 BMW X4 M40i is almost the same as for its relative. Both X4 and X4 M40i have M Sport packages, so wheels and bumpers are the same. Inside, there is steering wheel borrowed from 3-series M-unit. Some of the highlights of this model are 19-inch wheels, mirror caps and twin-exhaust layout. 

Also, there is a silver front bumper, with possible satin cover. In the cabin, steering wheel is multifunctional. It is covered with black leather. Shift lever, sill plates and control panel are revisited and refreshed, while M40i model also gets sport seats.

The Range Rover Sport is a mid-size luxury SUV produced by British manufacturer Land Rover. Original model came in 2005 and it was produced until 2012. In 2013, second generation model came. Current model is pretty much the same as one that came about two years ago. 

There is still no official information about 2017 Range Rover Sport, but if we consider usual cycle of Land Rover’s models, we will probably see a mid-cycle refresh. If it comes refreshed, it will feature several changes, both visual and technical.

Beside already-mentioned usual company’s cycle, there is one more thing that indicates possible refresh – Evoque was launched in 2012 and 2016 year model is coming refreshed, so this fact could be also used as reference. When it is about possible changes for new Range Rover Sport, we will see modifications that Evoque undergone. 

So, expect to see several visual updates like new front bumper with larger air intakes, revisited grille, headlights, taillights, new spoiler etc. When it is about interior, numerous changes are also expected. New Range Rover Sport will come with some styling tweaks, but the biggest changes will be about features. Many of optional features will become standard now. That especially refers on safety features. Many systems like Lane departure warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) safety system will be standard on new Range Rover Sport.

At the time when this excellent SUV was originally launched, it was one of the first vehicles of this type to be adapted to the daily use. Beside its excellent off-road capabilities, this model was very practical and easy for everyday-use. Original model was produced until 2008, when second generation came. 

Finally, we saw an all-new, third generation of this SUV recently at the Chicago Auto Show, in February. Production started few months later, and now this model is available on the market. When it is about 2017 Honda Pilot, it is hard to expect some bigger modifications only one year after launch, so we will see the vehicle with the pretty much same characteristics as 2016 year model.
